I copied a full std.vcf_X onto std.vcf, and all seems well (except for that
little part where new contacts aren't saved). I'll check up on the different
types of address books -- thanks for the tip.

But still -- besides the great support you've given me here -- I suspect
there's a problem with the vcard file Akonadi resource. Don't you want to
investigate it?
