Summary: KMail should not break long url lines that contain the
- character when composing a mail
Product: kmail
Version: 1.13.5
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: tsdgeos at terra.es
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux
Kmail incorrectly breaks into two lines long urls that contain the - character
when composing a new mail making the url "wrong"
Example:
Start a new mail and write the long url
https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided&product=kmail&additional_info=OS%3A%20Linux%20%28x86_64%29%20release
It will all be in a single line even if it is longer than the 78 characters
length kmail breaks lines. All good so far.
Now try writing
http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/trunk/l10n-kde4/templates/messages/kdelibs/kdelibs4.pot
Even if it is a much shorter url it will get split in "-" character making the
url wrong.
Ideally kmail should detect that i'm writing a url and never split it in new
lines
Reproducible: Always
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-24-generic
Compiler: cc
