How about appreciation? 

Is it possible to get a page on the KDE or Trinity site where we could make our
pledges, have them publicly listed (anonymously or not) along with a progress
report on how we are doing? The link could be added to this bug and promoted.
Seems like a very achievable goal.

I am more than willing to trust you to escrow the funds. I am a trusting fellow
and besides, I believe your online reputation is worth more than $1,500. That
and if I lose my $40, I will be ticked-off but not devastated.

I also trust that you have chosen wisely in selecting a programmer to implement
this. The statement of work is both broad and specific enough to meet my need
and give him some latitude in implementation. My only comment here is that he
may have underestimated the required effort.

It is hard to be optimistic after having waited for so long... but what is that
I see... There, at the end of the tunnel... is that a light?
