I tested adding Imap accounts today and it works fine on Linux. The account is
sucessfully displayed in the Folder view.

I did report a bug saying that the account list does not update in the
'Actions' tab (see bug #248435).

Ludwig, feel free to verify this bug once it is working for you as well.
