Summary: KMail IMAPS stops running then kmail crashes
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.13.5
          Platform: openSUSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: scott.neville at bluestar-software.co.uk

Application: kmail (1.13.5)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 2"
Qt Version: 4.6.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.34-12-desktop x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64)"

-- Information about the crash:
When using kmail to view email messages held on an IMAP server (over ssl). It
sometimes reports that the connection to the mail server has timed out, it says
it will try to reconnect. After this no messages can be downloaded from the
server, no folders can be viewed (each time you select one you get the
downloading messages from sever screen which will stay for hours even when the
folder only has one message in it (so I asumme is frozen)). Attempt to close
kmail and it reports a crash but the kio processes that it starts stay running
and have to be killed manually, sometimes a normal kill does not stop them and
a -15 is required.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.
