It may or may not be related, but prior to selecting the "Configure Kontact..."
action, I used System Settings -> Advanced -> KDE Resources to link to seven
different contacts files (*.vcf) that I had previously created with Kontact for
KDE3.  Also, I do not store these files under ~/.kde/share/apps/kabc because it
makes backups easier.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
