Same bug of the first post. I think kmail has a problem with incomplete
messages. I downloaded the email header with imap. If I don't wait the download
of the full mail to complete and delete it or ask to open an attachment then
kmail crashes. This should not be an issue, the client should wait and proceed
with the requested action when possible. In my humble opinion kmail is trying
to access a message that's not yet in the hard disk, memory access violation.
