Hej,

this issue has been fixed upstream already in SVN revision 1094139 by
increasing the timeout of the mysqld connection.
You can adapt that on your local system by adding the following line to your
 $HOME/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf

wait_timeout = 1296000

and restarting Akonadi.
This will allow Akonadi to be idle 15 days before the connection to mysqld gets
dropped.
