I'm using kmail with several IMAP accounts, and 1 IMAP deconnected account. The
bug is more probably related my main IMAP account, that is quite bloated (high
number of messages, automatic filter to sub-folder).
Kmail was really slow : several seconds to load a folder (and I'm sure my
internet connection is not responsible for it). I though making maintenance may
help : I clicked "expire old messages" (which I never done in 2 years of using
kmail). I then tried to browse folder to read some emails and this is when
kmail crashes. After the crash there where still a kmail processus alive. I
killed it (-9) and restart kmail. Every thing was back to normal. The new
messages that kmail failed to download before where there.
