In KDE 4.3, the search aggregated across all enabled address book resources. 
In KDE 4.4, it only searches a single address book.  This is very inconvenient
for users that have multiple address books (such as a personal and global
shared contacts).

Please reference bug 233078 for discussion on why this should be considered a
regression and not a new feature request.
