Common cause it is probably not. 

You have so many different problems in here, that I'm not sure what to do with
this.
See bugs #223439, #196949, #131507, #93158 and last but not least #219842 . So
I have a problem marking this as a duplicate of only one bug - I'm closing this
because of this. 

You may look whether this already a bug for the slow opening of mails and
report that issue if not.
