Summary: consistent shortcut interface for all pim apps
Product: kontact
Version: 4.3
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: rrs at researchut.com
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
It would make more sense to have a consistent shortcut interface and behavior
for the common tasks.
Tasks like:
* Collapse/Expand Threads
* Next message
* Next Thread
et cetera.
Currently different KDE PIM apps have different keys defined (which could be
customized) and they behave in different manners.
Best example would be Thread navigation in Kmail and Knode.
In Knode Thread Collapse/Expand is there. With a different name though. 'T'.
But with some deficiencies. Like, If I'm in the middle of the thread and hit
'T', only the messages below it get collapsed. Ideally, it should be collapsing
the entire thread (just like how kmail does).
