           Summary: hides IMAP error messages
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.12.2
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: mh+kde-bugs at zugschlus.de

Version: 1.12.2 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

my IMAP server was confused so that it allowed kmail to log in, but gave a
meaningful error message as response to kmail trying to select the INBOX.

Kmail didn't show me the error message but instead said that the IMAP server
closed the connection unexpectedly. I had to use a different software (mbsync
from the isync package, thanks) to obtain the error message.

It would have saved two hours if kmail would have shown the error message it
was given by the server.

Greetings
Marc
