Summary: KMail should check for network connection before
trying to connect to mailserver and displaying error
                    messages
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.11.2
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: volkmar.woerner at gmx.de

Version: 1.11.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I've got a couple of (dimap/imap) mailaccounts, which should be checked on
kmail startup, but sometimes at the time of kmail start (which is the time of
KDE start) I don't have a network connection (yet). When kmail then tries to
connect to the mailservers, I get a messagebox for each failed connection.
kmail should either wait for an active network connection or display errors as
passive popups (or both).
