Summary: Wrongly labelled and missing dictionaries in kmail
composer
Product: kmail
Version: 1.11.2
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: fred at duval.se
Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic
When composing an e-mail, the dictionary list does not contain the languages,
only country names preceding by a blank:
(Australia)
(Canada)
(France)
(Switzerland)
(South Africa)
(United Kingdom)
(United States of America)
The dictionaries that are installed on my Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope are:
Package: aspell-en
State: installed
Automatically installed: no
Version: 6.0-0-5.1
Package: aspell-fr
State: installed
Automatically installed: no
Version: 0.50-3-6
Package: aspell-sv
State: installed
Automatically installed: no
Version: 0.51-0-1
On a previous installation of Ubuntu combined with kmail, the dictionaries were
properly labelled in the dictionary list and the Swedish dictionary (aspell-sv)
was present.
This bug can be reproduce by installing kontact on an ubuntu 9.04 and
successively install aspell-fr and aspell-sv. Start kontact and begin composing
a new e-mail. Enable the dictionary list button (right-click on an empty space
above the e-mail address field, choose "Configure Toolbars" and choose finally
"Dictionary" from the "Available Actions" list. Click on the drop-down list and
a similar list to the one I introduced this bug report with should appear.
