I have had this several times as well now, using KDE 4.2.3 (but starting with
earlier versions) on OpenSuse 11.1. My filesystem is XFS on linux. Problem
happens when the system crashes during bootup (while restoring the previous
session). I have the same problem with plasma-desktop.
