Summary: saved SMTP password does not work
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: stefan.brandner at gmx.at

Version: (using KDE 4.1.3)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.2
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I used the password za3b5! for my gmx account. The password was saved within
kmail.
The password was working fine with my pop account but did not work with my SMTP
account.

As soon as I save the password in the SMTP setup I got a message from the mail
server "invalid username or password".
After I removed the save password tick, kmail asked for the password during
sending and then the password did work.

I tried this several times then I changed the password to za3b5E and all
problems
disappeared.
