Summary: "Filter by status" does not retain state
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: feng.shaun at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
Compiler: gcc 4.3
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

On the top right hand side of the main window, there are a few tiny buttons on
the right of the search bar. The first one says "Filter by status." When I
press that button and choose "unread" or "new," the next time I start kmail, it
is gone back to "Any status." A more sane behavior would be that it retains
its status from last session.

Also, in the current kmail session, if I set the status to "unread" and check
all of my mail, the next time I press "Check mail," the mailbox view doesn't
refresh, and therefore, after pressing "check mail," it shows me the previously
unread (but now read) emails along with new unread emails. This behavior is
unexpected. kmail should refresh the mailbox each time "check mail" is pressed
if there is a status set for the mailbox view (e.g. "unread").

Thank you for your consideration,
Armin Moradi
