Summary: Move thread with new email to top of the messages list
and mark the thread as having unread email(s)
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: untitled.no4 at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.2.98)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When a new email is received to an old thread, can we please have the thread
moved to the top of the messages list and mark the thread as having unread
email(s)? I realise I can move to next unread email by clicking on +, but
that's only half of the problem, as if yesterday I received a reply in a month
old thread which I want to reply to today, I have to scan all my emails a month
back in time rather than having it under the date of the last email in the
thread.

Curiously enough, it seems to work that way (minus marking thread as having
unread emails) during the first mail check after starting Kmail, but not for
emails received while kmail was running.
