Same Problem ! I works mostly when first time logging in into xmlrpc resource.
but if you change some things within the xmlrpc resource, the authentication
fails with some blowfish looking credentials. the egroupware server banns the
ip while kontact is making a lot of connection tries. after getting whitelistet
on egroupware server again you can login into the resource but if you change
more than one or two details in contact e.g. the login disappears again.
