Changing the subject line of this bug to describe the issue that *can* be fixed
in KMail, and reassigning to KMail devs since this bug report contains enough
detail to fix.

Basiaclly, the main window should resize to the size it was last used at
*before* it is made visible on startup. That way the slow resize issue
shouldn't happen in this case.

Unfortunately the slow resize issue will probably need to be fixed upstream by
nvidia :(
