No, I had to re-enter a dozen icons a few months ago. The problem seems to be
associated with crashes, and both crashes, and losing icons when a crash
happens, are much less common (on my computer). This may be partly because I
don't do things which have caused crashes in the past, including 1. searching
email content (especially all folders at once), 2. clicking an email address to
"open in addressbook" if I'm not sure the address is in addressbook, and 3.
accidentally opening a 2nd instance of Kmail. But when it happens, it's pretty
annoying to have to stop everything and reenter a dozen icons with their
properties. Overall, though, Kmail is still way better than Thunderbird!
