Summary: Kmail delete message no longer centers next selected
                    message in message list
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: info at kobaltwit.be

Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Description of problem:
The message list in kmail shows a number of e-mail headers. When navigating
this list with the keyboard (arrow-left and arrow-right), kmail always keeps
the selected message at the centre of this list. This way, you can easily see
which messages precede it in the list and which messages follow it.

Kmail in 4.2.x did the same thing when you deleted a mail. The next selected
mail would end up in the middle of the message list. This no longer happens in
4.3.2 and 4.3.3. To be clear: the next message is still automatically selected,
but it is no longer placed in the middle of the message list. So with each
deletion, you see one preceding message more and one following message less.
After a few
deletions, the selected message will be the last visible one in the list, so
you don't see the following messages anymore.

This is not a serious bug, but is usability regression.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start kmail
2. Select a mailbox with a lot of messages (which you can delete)
3. Scroll the message list to somewhere in the middle, and click on a message
there.
4. Now press the delete key

=> Observe that the message gets deleted, and the following message is
activated, but also that this newly activated message is not moved up to be in
the centre of the message list.

5. Press the right arrow key to activate the next message.

=> Observe that the next message is activated and that it is moved up to be
centered in the message list, so you can see multiple message above and below
it.

Obvious workaround:
Use the scrollbars or arrow keys to re-centre the message. This works but is
interrupting a fluid workflow.
