Summary: Kontact does not start the akonadi server
           Product: kontact
           Version: 4.4 pre
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: andersin at freenet.de

Version: 4.4 pre (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

After logging in, kontact automatically starts in my session. However, when
hovering over the system tray item, it shows the 'busy cursor'.

Starting kontact manually from the command line yields:

where the last line is repeated.

Kontact is unresponsive and not usable, no matter how long I wait.

Manually starting the akonadi server with 'akonadictl start' on the command
line causes kontact startup to continue.

On a maybe related note: KMail starts up without problems, starting the akonadi
server if it is not running.
