There is the possibility to configure detected prefixes for "Re:" and "Fwd:".
Under there is a checkbox where you can specify whether they should be replaced
by "Re:" and "Fwd:". There would be a good place to make the added prefix
configureable - or deactivate adding it.

This could be implemented by a junior.
