There are, at least, two ways of send a "reply to all" to an SMTP server:
* Send SMTP cc: comands (opensource mail programs way) (less work for the SMTP
server)
* Put mime cc: headers (privative mail programs way) (more work for the SMTP
server)

I guess your SMTP server is also privative and it is not able to handle the
standard in its full extension.
