I am having the same issue with kmail-3.5.10 on Arch.
I have the same settings as the people above, and my server is NOT changing
IPs. The certificate is self-signed, and that is the reason Kmail complains.

However, no matter how many times I click 'Forever', it pops up again. Maybe I
can edit a config file by hand? This is a one-time issue, so I don't mind
having a workaround like that until the bug is fixed.
