Summary: Disconntected IMAP gets incoming mails only on
explicit request, and then with a delay
Product: kmail
Version: unspecified
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: nico.schloemer at gmail.com
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Hi,
I recently switched to using dIMAP on Kmail with my Gmail account, and it work
sort of alright in the sense that it doesn't lose mail and such nasty things.
The experience could be a lot better for me, though, as
1.) incoming mails are not automatically fetched. When doing an explicit sync,
they will appear of course.
There are quite a few folders I have in the account, and all of them are synced
when doing the explicit sync of course. "Inbox" is merely one of them, so when
clicking the button it will easily take two minutes or so until the folder
"Inbox" in synced, which is quite annoying.
2.) It'd be great if it was possible to sync inbox only, or to make sure it
gets synced first at least.
Cheers,
Nico
