Works for me, but it returns only 3 results for "ä in subject", while using "ä"
in the folder list search bar provides a lot more results (no numbers being
displayed), all legit.

"Find Messages" does not find e.g.:
 Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Adventskalender=2C_Kl=E4ppchen_16?="

But it finds:
Subject: =?UTF-8?Q?Antw:=20Adventskalender,=20dat=209.=20Kl=C3=A4ppschen?=


So apparently, it only works for UTF-8 encoded subjects?! (in my case).
