I can confirm this on 1.9.10. Selecting any imap folder first clears all
message list then shows screen stating "Retrieving folder contents" and then
shows updated message list. It should show previously downloaded mails(headers)
and then add newly downloaded mails on top. If user is on slow connection, it
may give the feeling of deleted mails as reporter had.
