The 1st backtrace i believe part of the problem was with the kdepimlibs, which
i eventually managed to solve an get installed.

Sometime after that kmail stopped loading due to some other library files, but
i eventually managed to get that resolved and finally got kmail at least
loading.

Now as per above kmail will neither send nor recieve mail, an the last
backtrace is the result from trying to send an email.

i'll look at th eother bug u mentioned though.
