Summary: Kmail crashes without trace when typing in composer
Product: kmail
Version: unspecified
Platform: RedHat RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: mstarkey at wcsgabon.org
Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Hi, I updated to kde 4.1.2 from fedora-updates-testing and kdepim 4.1.2 from
kde-redhat. I now get random crashes when typing in composer in kmail. It
happens when replying, and when composing a new message, but not everytime
(though most) and not predictably after a certain number of words. It happens
when kaim is run within kontact or standalone.
Funny thing - it doesn't produce a backtrace and open kcrash. When I run kmail
in gdb I get the following output:
[user at localhost ~]$ gdb kmail

So perhaps a spell-checker problem?
The message about debuginfo packages is weird as I do have those installed:
