Summary: Apply Filter Only For Specific Sub-Directory in an IMAP
                    Account
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.9.7
          Platform: Debian stable
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: andy.pavlo gmail com

Version: 1.9.7 (using KDE 3.5.8KDE 1.2)
Installed from: Debian stable PackagesDebian stable Packages
OS: Linux

I recently got a Blackberry and I want to be able to automatically move the messages sent from the device to my local "sent-email" folder. The Blackberry email client saves all outbound email from the phone in a sub-directory called "Sent Items" in my IMAP account. So the filter that I want to create would just move any new message from this directory to a new one.

The problem is that I can't figure out how to create a filter that only targets this single directory. I can check to apply the filter to just the phone's IMAP account, but I cannot figure out how to get it to work on just the "Sent Items" directory. The hack I have in place right now simply looks for Blackberry headers in emails where I am the sender, but this is not what I really want because I often send emails me to myself to remind me to do things later.

Therefore, my wish is a simple way to select what sub-directories in an account a filter should be applied to.
