Unfortunately it's hard to tell how to reproduce it. I have been using its IMAP support for almost two weeks now and I was just /suspecting/ that I was loosing emails, until some hours ago I saw how Kmail deleted all of my new emails after a crash. The emails I manually marked as "unread" were not deleted.

Most of the emails I'm aware I've lost are affected by filters, which I've attached to this bug. But I suspect I've also lost emails not affected by filters.
