Josef, this behavior is configurable, but on by default, as people in a corporate context who get a lot of invitations really want them to be moved away automatically. YOu can turn it off via kiosk, or by setting the config key in your kmailrc manually. I don't remember if there's gui for the option too. kmail.kcfg should tell you. Cheers.
