Summary: Parsing the highlight through the dropdown-list of the
recipient line adds real names of every parsed entry
plus the complete entry of the actual highlightened line
Product: kmail
Version: unspecified
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: digikam.20.yellowshark spamgourmet com
Version: KMail 1.9.6 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405 (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
I updated from Ubuntu 7.04 to 7.10 today.
Now the following bug appears:
Open "New Message"
Typing aLetter shows all the known email addresses starting with aLetter in the recpient line dropdown list.
Moving the highlighted line down through the dropdown list adds the highlightened address to the recipient line.
Going furhter down leaves the "real name" of the previously highlightened address without the suiting email address and appends the next entry, etc.
Example:
Note: In the example ==> marks the highlightened line
Step 1: Type aLetter
To: A
_______________________________________________
==> "Aaron Speedman" <Aaron.Speedman email com>
"Abby Tabby" <abby.tabby email com>
"Achmed Salomon" <achmed.salomon email com>
Step 2: Move highlight down with down arrow
To: "Abby Tabby" <abby.tabby email com>
________________________________________________
"Aaron Speedman" <Aaron.Speedman email com>
==> "Abby Tabby" <abby.tabby email com>
"Achmed Salomon" <achmed.salomon email com>
"Axel Axeman" <axel.axeman mail com>
Step 2: Move highlight down again with down arrow
To: "Tabby, "Achmed Salomon" <achmed.salomon email com>
________________________________________________
"Aaron Speedman" <Aaron.Speedman email com>
"Abby Tabby" <abby.tabby email com>
==> "Achmed Salomon" <achmed.salomon email com>
"Axel Axeman" <axel.axeman mail com>
Step 3: Move highlight down again with down arrow
To: "Tabby, "Achmed, "Axel Axeman" <axel.axeman mail com>
________________________________________________
"Aaron Speedman" <Aaron.Speedman email com>
"Abby Tabby" <abby.tabby email com>
"Achmed Salomon" <achmed.salomon email com>
==> "Axel Axeman" <axel.axeman mail com>
etc.
Moving the highlight up again would add the fragment of the last highlighted entry in the similar way.
Nevertheless: Good work boys! I like KMail!
