I am using openSuse 10.3, and the Build Service to update KDE4 from RPMs.
I continue to update (currently using 3.97.2 "Release 4.2"), and have not
yet seen any difference from day to day.
Hope this helps.
This is a bug in Qt, a workaround has recently been added to kdelibs.
You probably have the same problem with SSL sites in Konqueror, right?

Please reopen if you can still reproduce with the lastest SVN version (make sure you recompile kdelibs, then kdepimlibs) and only have the issue in KMail.
