Summary: cannot use mail address with dot in front of @
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: dev staerk de

Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

I cannot add an identity with the mail address aoei. test org I get the error message:
The email address you entered is not valid because it does not seem to contain an actual email address, i.e. something of the form joe example org

I would prefer a non-fatal warning stating this is against the rfc and you have no guarantee your mails will be accepted by all mail clients. This is especially important if people have had "wrong" mail addresses for years.
