Say you often send a mail to john xgate com  Then you would like to talk to him using your identity with your own company address in the senders field etc.

Then you send a mail to friend family com and would like to use your private identity.

Havin the identity default to the previously used identity for that reciever would be very helpful in these cases.

And this is really a feature request, not a bug report. It would be something new compared to Outllok anyway ;-)
