Summary: composing mail and settings: redesign default identity
                    behaviour (default identity per recipent)
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: bluedzins wp pl

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

General wish:
Ability to assign for To: address default identity. So default-default could be A identity but for To: x gnu org mailing list default would be B identity. So when user would type To: x gnu org identity would switch.

Suggested design:
The settings changes are rather obvious, in Composer it could be done by changing the identity from
[ Identity ]
where this combobox contains only identities

to
[ Identity "mode" ] identity
where this combobox contains word "auto" + identities. "Identity" is a label of identity. It is useful since it shows what Composer will use. Auto is selected as default when composing mail and Composer is allowed to change identity only in Auto mode.

Additional feature would be "remember assignment" to make settings of identities easier however now it is not clear for me where to put it. Similar to "sticky"? Maybe when user sets specific identity, identity label could be changed to checkbox "permanent assignment"?
