This bug report seems to be closed (worksforme) by mistake. Bram Schoenmakers comment 3 doesn't really reflect the problem. Sure, you can save by File->Save As Draft but then the composer window gets closed. This behaviour is part of this bug report (compare also 32305). Please mark this report is as 'reopened'.

Please compare also the duplicates 37345 and 134991 for getting a picture.

BTW: This problem already was reported in 2001 (compare 33953) and then without any comment marked as fixed.
