the calendar and also the addressbook seems to be loaded several times when opening kontact. This takes really long when there are ~50k files to be loaded for the calendar and about 6k files for the addressbook.
I am not sure how I can verify this to be a bug, let me know what further information you need and I will gladly provide them.
