Help needed to remove latest version

Hi,

I don't know how to use forums, never have used one before. I have trawled
search engines and web to find out what is last version of Kdenlive (prior
to the one updated in April.)

I run Linux mint and it was involved installing Kdenlive but it was working
great until 3 weeks ago the last time I used it but today it is awful. It
lost or corrupted files and can't find clips then won't sve - just makes a
backup.

Now I can't edit previous projects as it can't find the clips when they are
still in the same place they have ever been.

So how do I roll back or, uninstall completely and remove all trace of
Kdenlive then install the previous version so I can retrieve and carry on
my work, then prevent updates until the latest one is fixed?

Sorry to be a pain but this forum thingy is alien to me, I am old fashioned
a dn if I have a queston, I search for support email addresses rather than
look for forums or whatever they are.

Hope you can help by lettin g,e know the previous version number and where
I can get it.

The version I have installed that has updated somehow is:   23.08.5
