Not allowed to write to the Telegram group

Hi,
I just joined the Telegram group for kdenlive, but it doesn't allow users from my region to write in the chat (which I think works based on phone number). On the other hand, the group has good manual cpatcha verification via bot, so the former security does not seem necessary. I would love to write in the group. What should I do?
