When I opened the project in my installed Kdenlive 19.12.3 (Arch Linux) the video looked also messed up in the preview monitor. I was able to correct the transformations and after exporting again, everything looked fine. So maybe the preview monitor in the new beta displays something else then what is written to the file? Just a wild guess, everything else worked flawlessly :)

Yes that would be much appreciated. I tried with a sample project but 
could not reproduce. The .kdenlive project file should be enough to 
understand the problem. You can mail it to me on my @kdenlive.org address.
