I am using Kdenlive on Mint18.1  Kdenlive is the 17.04  and have clicked 
full screen and cant get of ot that. Exit full screen does not reduce 
window size. I tried f11  and a couple short cut keys. NO luck? Can

Sorry, what are you talking about?
Very few free software projects can offer a professional support, only when there are people paid by contracts (business model).
There is no such profile behind any free video editing program I know, so you would then have to go for a closed program :(

Sorry, what are you talking about?

Some people tried to help but their efforts were in vain... probably
because this isn't related to Kdenlive per se but rather an OS/Desktop
issue? Probably asking at your distros forums might help out...

Ok, congratulate me and Your selves please. I installed Kubuntu and
Kdenlive. Haven't put any video on it yet but everything seems to work. I
can now  I can now expand it to full desktop size and the reduce it so it
is useful and so I can run other programs  without closing Kdenlive.
Thanks for the help as my problem is solved.  Sorry I cam on so strong but
manomaqn I was really frustrated.   Thanks all,   Doug Pollard

So, there've been multiple users across the years who have actually 
asked how to contribute or to donate to Kdenlive. Amazingly on the 
Kdenlive website, neither the menubar nor on any page or footer of the 
website. A G+ member was directed to the KDE website 
(https://www.kde.org/applications/multimedia/kdenlive/), but even when 
you try to put in an amount and donate, you can't specify that you want 
the donation to go to the Kdenlive project. Both of these, I believe, 
are very probably deterring a lot of potential donations to the project.

I'd like to propose that:
(1) IF the link mentioned above is the best place to donate to 
Kdenlive, then a menu link with the title "Donate" or "Give" be placed 
at the kdenlive.org website header, which would point to 
"https://www.kde.org/applications/multimedia/kdenlive/".
(2) That the KDE admin staff would provide some clear path for users 
who want to contribute financially to to the project, without the 
ambiguity that it's just going to some big KDE funding pool and never 
reaching devs like JBM and the others.

I feel like there's a big missed opportunity to acquire donations, here.

Hi all,

Yes, I also fully agree that we need to clarify this. This is a multi 
part thing. First we need to be clear what the money will be for, who 
takes the decisions, and we need to be transparent about it. Then we 
have to clear the technical/practical issues and after that we can and 
have a better visibility of the donate stuff.

I unfortunately did not have enough time at Akademy to discuss it but 
had a few preliminary contacts with people invested in KDE financial 
stuff and will try to send some mails so that I can have more infos 
related to KDE's policy and then we can hopefully discuss what/how/who 
in café.

Way down the road, after the refactoring, we should think of things like
this and plan on how to achieve them since this might/could/should involve
a joint task force between MLT, Kdenlive, Shotcut, Flowblade? Maybe a GSOC,
crowdfunding, patreon?

hey guys,

some tests we can do to see if the timeline corruptions happen when testing
the refactoring branch are these:

1- speed effect
2- undo/redo various times after moving clips and restart project
3- move many clips at the same time through the timeline

do you know/suspect of any other? write them here so we can thoroughly test
this.

jb and alcinos, is this something helpful to do?
