[kdenlive] vidstab stabiliser yields to strange result

As of Kdenlive 16.04.0 I noticed the following behaviour with Stabiliser:
I load a 30 fps clip into the Project bin, right click it and choose Clip
jobs / Stabilise (vidstab). I leave all options as default. The resulting
mlt file is a 25 fps file and cannot be imported into the project. Here is
the relevant line from the mlt file:

<profile description="DV/DVD PAL" width="720" height="576" progressive="0"
sample_aspect_num="16" sample_aspect_den="15" display_aspect_num="4"
display_aspect_den="3" frame_rate_num="25" frame_rate_den="1"
colorspace="601"/>

When I import this into a 25 fps project and render it, the resulting file
has very thick black borders around the content.

I would like the old behaviour back where the relevant line looked like
this in the mlt file:

<profile description="automatic" width="1920" height="1080" progressive="1"
sample_aspect_num="1" sample_aspect_den="1" display_aspect_num="1920"
display_aspect_den="1080" frame_rate_num="30" frame_rate_den="1"
colorspace="709"/>

Can you help me with this issue?
