I really like the idea of the stylized rewind button.  I would even go 
with it if the name of the program were to change to something that 
doesn't start with K.  It would still look nice, make sense and be a nod 
to it being the KDE video editor.

I would keep it close to what it is now and just go with:
enliven
verb
  make (something) more entertaining, interesting, or appealing.
