I have read your bug description and this has motivated me to provide
details to reproduce the bug(s) I discovered while trying the 16.04
version.

However I think that my case i different from yours - besides wrong
audio levels - the cut (X) on the audion clips does not provide all
necessary keyframe gain info at the beginning and at the end of the
middle and right clips. Just try it with my example setup if you still
have 0.9.10 available. To see the amplitude just load the result into
audacity or similar. (the second and third part had constant volumes)
