honestly i think users that edit their vacation videos dont know what edl
is and that shouldnt be a problem either...

i read what you said, i just pointed to its usage because you saw it as
pointless and i see it as fundamental.

i think in the end it all comes down to what kdenlive aspires to be... a
vacation editor or an aspiring professional video editor.
